Meet Team TAPBPR.
Tammy Ethirajan, MSc
Tammy has a master's degree in Biochemistry from University of Madras. She has several years of experience working in the Infectious disease Diagnostics field, developing molecular diagnostics (MDx) assays using isothermal DNA amplification technologies. In 2019, she graduated with Merit, a second master's degree (M.Sc. in Applied Biosciences) from Anglia Ruskin University. As part of her master’s degree, Tammy worked on a research project under the supervision of Dr. Choon Pei with the aim of generating multi-specific mAbs for immuno-oncology targets and characterization at Astrazeneca’s Antibody Discovery and Protein Engineering group (ADPE) by employing various molecular biology and protein engineering techniques.
In October 2022, Tammy joined Dr. Boyle’s group to be part of research focussing on the potential to utilise TAPBPR therapeutically.
Tammy started a new position as a Research Scientist within the Biologics Engineering group at AstraZeneca in August 2023.
