Meet Team TAPBPR.

Sarah Adams, BSc (Hons)

Sarah graduated in 2022 with a BSc Hons in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, and Biological Sciences Minor from Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada). Under the supervision of Dr Bingyun Sun, she developed a Mass Spectrometry based assay to characterize the absolute quantification of NaV1.5 (the alpha subunit of the sodium ion channel in cardiomyocytes) in transiently transfected CHO cells. Upon graduating, Sarah worked at Trutino Biosciences (San Diego, USA), an immuno-oncology start-up company, where she focused her time on developing an on demand cytokine cancer therapy. These drugs are designed to be activated upon entering the tumour microenvironment to safely trigger cancer-fighting immune cells. Sarah has now joined the Boyle Lab as a Research Assistant.

During her spare time Sarah enjoys scuba diving, rock climbing, backpacking, and running.
