Esam Khanfar, PhD
Esam earned his bachelor's of pharmacy from the Jordan University of Science and Technology. Then worked in various roles in pharmaceutical companies. In 2019, Esam earnt his master's in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology where he started his research compairing calcium signalling in T cell subpopulations of ZAP-70 knock-out mice under the supervision of Dr. Ferenc Boldizsár (University of Pécs, Hungary). During his PhD, he continued his research with Dr. Ferenc Boldizsár investigating the immunological role of the spleen in the development and aetiology of rheumatoid arthritis. In January 2024, he joined the Boyle lab aiming to further investigate the biological function of TAPBPR and its therapeutic application.
