Elena gained a BSc in Biology in 2022 at the University of Southampton, shortly followed by an MRes in Drug Discovery and Development in 2023 at Imperial College London. At Imperial, her work focussed on developing a novel approach to drug the oncoprotein MYC, through understanding its transcriptional activity.

Elena joined the Boyle lab as a PhD student in April 2024 where her research looks at using TAPBPR as a therapeutic tool to treat cancer.
